At Pan Pac we produce a range of lumber grades from our Radiata Pine feedstock logs, with many different end uses and distribution locations.

Clearwood:
Pruned Lumber:
A large proportion of Pan Pac's forests are pruned to a minimum height of 4 metres. Pruning removes lower branches on the tree at a young age, resulting in knot free lumber when the mature tree is milled.
Pan Pac clearwood is ideal for use in products where appearance is paramount. Interior decoration, mouldings, doors and furniture are just some of the uses that this timber can be processed for.
Pan Pac can provide your clearwood in either rough sawn or dressed form, whichever is your preference.
Cuttings:
Pan Pac Cuttings grades are ideal for use in joinery, furniture components and fingerjointing. This grade will yield clear cuttings ranging from 200mm up to 2400mm within each piece.
Cut of Log (COL):
COL packets contain a mixture of cuttings grade and industrial grade lumber. COL is ideal for remanufacturing work or for furniture.
Industrial:
Industrial grade consists of lumber that does not meet Pan Pac's strict guidelines for clear or cuttings grade i.e. less than 70% of each piece is clear.
A common use for our industrial product is for feedstock in the manufacturing of furniture and finger-jointed blocks. Other uses are concrete framework, or pallet and bin framing.
Corewood:

Corewood from radiata pine trees is ideal for use in products such as packing crates, cable drums and pallets. It is usually sold in it's green (not kiln dried) state and can be supplied in either Flitch or Dimensional formats.

Flitch (square block shaped - see picture) is ideal for use in packaging as it is easily resawn into desired dimensions.

Dimensional (thinly cut corewood) can be used for civil construction, formwork, cable drums, packing crates and pallet frames. |
