TREE PURCHASE

We manage 33,500 hectares of our own forest from planting through to harvesting, transport and marketing the logs. We know what we are doing when it comes to your wood lot.

Our Forests Team source and manage the supply chain of raw wood fibre material inputs for Pulp and Lumber.

LUMBER

Our world class sawmill, extensive kiln drying capacity and modern drymill, enables efficient production of high quality lumber for both domestic and international markets.

We supply appearance and utility grade timber.

Our lumber is ideal for the manufacture of products, such as furniture, mouldings, doors and windows - where appearance really counts.

PULP

We operate a thermo mechanical pulp mill with the latest bleaching and cleaning technology.

We convert raw radiata fibre into the pulp properties suitable for board and paper manufacturing.

DOUG DUCKER

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Doug has been Managing Director of Pan Pac Forest Products since 2004 - this appointment followed 30 years’ service with the company in roles including process engineering, technical R & D, project management and production management associated with the pulping side of the business. Doug is an executive committee member of the Japan New Zealand Business Council, Director of Business Hawke's Bay and Director of the Wood Processors and Manufacturers Association.

 

TIM SANDALL

GENERAL MANAGER FORESTS

Tim has spent the past 10 years as Strategic Planning Manager for Pan Pac and has helped develop and maintain a consistent strategic focus for the business and our shareholders, allowing business and profit growth. Prior to this Tim spent six years as the Deputy GM - Forests and has been involved in most forestry based functions at some point. He leads a team focused on ensuring the safety and well being of all involved in Forests operations.

MICHAEL REABURN

GENERAL MANAGER LUMBER

Michael joined Pan Pac in 2007 having previously held senior roles in manufacturing in the wood sector and other industries. He is responsible for lumber production, sales and marketing, supply chain and has recently provided leadership to the acquisition of a subsidiary company providing additional sawmill and drymill capacity in the South Island of New Zealand.

TONY CLIFFORD

GENERAL MANAGER PULP

Coming from the role of CEO of a remanufacturing business and building on extensive experience in the wood sector, Tony was appointed as GM Pulp in 2012. He is responsible for Pulp production and sales, effluent management and wood chip export. He has overseen a $70m upgrade of the pulpmill and development of markets for BCTMP into Asia and beyond.

OLWEN HYSLOP

GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE & CULTURE

Olwen joined Pan Pac in 2011 having previously held senior HR roles in the banking, health, insurance and energy sectors. She has a wealth of expertise in people and culture development and is involved in the ongoing initiative to make Pan Pac an employer of choice. 
 
She leads a team responsible for Safety and Security, Human Resources, Employment Relations, Communications and Administration Services.

ROSS MCMILLAN

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

As the newest member of the Executive team, Ross joined the company in 2016 with broad financial and commercial experience in the Dairy, FMCG and Manufacturing industries including working in senior finance roles at Fonterra and Coca Cola Amatil. Ross has worked in England, Malaysia, Fiji and New Zealand. 

He leads the Finance and IT services at Pan Pac.
